Your Claude limits by the clock, with the browser closed

UsagePeek AI is a Windows tray app from the maker of Claude Monitor: session, weekly and per-model usage next to the clock, desktop alerts at 80% and 95%, and Claude Code resumed when your five-hour session limit resets. 7-day free trial, then a one-time purchase.

In short

UsagePeek shows your usage next to the clock with the browser closed, and reopens your Claude Code projects the moment a limit resets.

That is how the Claude Monitor extension describes it to Windows users. The extension reads your Claude limits while Chrome, Firefox or Edge is open; UsagePeek AI keeps them in the system tray when no browser is. It is sold separately on the Microsoft Store, and its own site is usagepeek.com.

What it does

Per its Microsoft Store listing, UsagePeek AI offers:

The listing names session, weekly and per-model usage. What each of them is, and when it resets, is in our guide to Claude usage limits.

Auto-resume for Claude Code

Per the listing, UsagePeek AI can resume Claude Code in the Claude app or in the terminal when your five-hour session limit resets. This needs the Claude Code CLI installed on the same PC.

On Pro and Max plans, Claude Code draws from the same five-hour session and weekly limits as claude.ai, per Anthropic's help center, so the countdown next to the clock is the one that matters for the terminal too. More on that in Claude Code usage limits.

Requirements

How it relates to the extension

You can use both: the extension in the browser toolbar while you browse, the app in the tray when no browser is open.

Questions

Do I need the Claude Monitor extension to use UsagePeek AI?

No. UsagePeek AI is a separate Windows app with its own purchase, and the extension does not need the app either. The extension is free and stays free; the app is a one-time purchase after a 7-day trial. You can use both: the extension while you browse, the app when no browser is open.

Is UsagePeek AI a subscription?

Yes. On Pro and Max plans, Claude Code draws from the same five-hour session and weekly limits as claude.ai, so the usage the app shows next to the clock includes your terminal work.
